A Project with a Purpose

Over the past few months, residents at Independence Hall have been diligently knitting and crocheting, coming together for a cause that is close to their hearts. They have created 150 hand-knitted rectangles that will be used to create six lap blankets for the Warm Up America Founda. This non-profit organization trains volunteers to knit and crochet afghans and clothing for people experiencing homelessness and others in need. “Knitting with a Purpose” represents hours of dedication and passion from the community’s residents.

“We are incredibly proud of our residents for their commitment to this project,” said Paula Reis, Resident Engagement Director at Independence Hall. “Their hard work and compassion are truly inspiring. These blankets will provide warmth and comfort to those who need it most.”
